The TÜV EC Consortium consists of the five organizational units that provide services in the fields nuclear engineering and radiation protection in the three major TÜV groups:
- TÜV Süd Group (TÜV Industrie Service GmbH / Energy and Technology, TÜV ET Baden-Württemberg)
- TÜV Nord Group (TÜV Nord SysTec, TÜV Nord EnSys)
- TÜV Rheinland Group (TÜV Industrie Service GmbH / Industrieanlagen)
We established the consortium in 1993. Its objective was to unite the individual TÜV competencies into a tightly coordinated and bundled powerhouse with a sweeping international reach that offers its joint services to the nuclear engineering market beyond Germany. We have gained extensive experience in all aspects of nuclear engineering and radiation protection and have been active in this field since the peaceful utilization of nuclear energy began in Germany. Today, the operation of all major German power plants is supervised by our TÜV organizations by order of the German state regulatory authorities. TÜV experts also monitor all nuclear facilities associated with the nuclear fuel cycle in Germany including those involved in the handling and transport of radioactive waste and spent fuel. Our services cover the lifespan of all nuclear facilities from planning to decommissioning and disposal of residual radioactive waste.

As TÜV ENERGIE CONSULT, we offer our clients worldwide all assessment and certification services and consult them on all aspects of international safety and quality standards and certifications. We give special attention to the practical integration of international standards and knowledge in the field of nuclear engineering in our clients’ plants by taking the state-of-the-art in science and technology into account.
